Juicy garlic has a lot of great skin benefits!
Garlic has natural antiseptic properties and can be effective against things like infections, irritated skin, and blemish-causing bacteria. It has loads of antioxidants too! You can easily use garlic for spot treatments at home for things like acne flare-ups and to help fight infection on the surface of skin.
Raw garlic juice is best - dilute it with at least equal parts body oil or liquid (water, milk, juicy, yogurt, etc), as fresh garlic is potent (which is a good thing!) and too strong of a concentration can irritate skin. Use this mix alone as a quick skin/spot treatment (5-10 minutes), or add some fresh garlic to any of our masks for more skin clearing benefits.
You can use a microplane to get a juicy pulp from garlic, or other things like apples and potato if you don't have a juicer. It won't be a completely smooth application, but all of the benefits are there. This is also an easy way to add fresh garlic (without chunks) to sauces and salad dressings! :)
