Pineapple on your feet!
Besides being a vacation in your mouth, pineapple has a few other great benefits for us to enjoy.
To start, pineapple is loaded with Vitamins A, B and C, amino acids and skin-loving nutrients. It has been said to help shrink portions, even skin tone, fight inflammation, repair damaged tissue and even reduce fine lines.
Pineapple encourages fresh, healthy skin and works great as a gentle exfoliator too.
Bromelain, a live enzyme in fresh pineapple, delicately removes dead cells and junk on the surface of skin.
Today we'll get rid of dry, dead skin and callouses for smooth, healthy feet.
Mix pureed or chopped pineapple with about 1tsp of salt and a pinch of star anise for antiseptic and antifungal properties.
You can add chopped lemon or apple to your mix if you have it.
Spread this mixture on feet, concentrating on rough spots, and wrap in plastic.
Leave for 20 minutes then rinse clean. ...or use a mixture of fresh pineapple or pineapple juice with olive oil to help with cracked, brittle nails that are a result of a vitamin deficiency.
Cracked nailbeds are a breeding ground for bacteria, so leave on for 5-15 minutes and rinse to keep nails and cuticles healthy and soft.
One last tip - wipe your face pineapple chunks (or pieces of that core you were going to throw away) and leave on for 15 minutes before rinsing to get all of these same beautiful, healing benefits for your face.
Always do a patch test before applying to your whole face, as the citric acid content could irritate sensitive skin.
