This easy chocolate mask is packed with antioxidants naturally found in cacao (cocoa) powder...more than green tea or red wine!
Cacao aids in cell repair and cell damage prevention, and neutralizes free radicals wandering around in cells.
It also increases circulation, aids in UV damage defense, and contains nourishing vitamins and minerals that improve skin health and appearance.
Chocolate Face Sauce recipe:
Heat 1/4 cup of water (almond or coconut milk work too) in a small sauce pot just until steam starts to rise from the surface. Too hot will damage some of cacao nutrients. Remove from heat, quickly whisk in 2 full Tablespoons of cacao powder until smooth, and cover with lid for 5 minutes to "cook out" the powder. This will thicken the mask. Pop in the fridge until cold and apply with clean fingers or brush. Add 1 teaspoon of your favorite body oil to the mix for dry skin. Leave on 10-15 minutes and rinse clean.
Refrigerate unused mask and use within 1 week.
Make sure cocoa is pure cacao, not sweetened.
