Living with insomnia, I have a constant battle to NOT look tired!
For this under eye treatment, I'm throwing in a pinch of spicy black peppercorns to my coffee beans to add some extra circulation-stimulating benefits, plus extra antioxidants. Antioxidants in coffee beans and peppercorns can be helpful for reducing and reversing signs of aging and UV damage, so we definitely want to keep those guys around!
This is a very simple application - just fresh ground coffee beans, black peppercorns, and a touch of body oil (or any non-pore clogging pantry oil, like coconut or grape seed are great) mixed together give us all of the properties we're looking for to reduce under eye bags. The coffee oils and peppercorn oils will release into your mixed carrier oil to make them more easy to absorb on the skin. I just mix this together with my finger in the palm of my hand to make this process super quick and easy. I like to work with a bit of water in my palm, since some of the vitamins and nutrients bind with water, and that can be helpful for transporting additional nutrients throughout the deeper layers of skin.
Avoid getting in your eye, as should be obvious, since coffee beans and peppercorn pieces can be abrasive to the eyeball! Leave this mix on about 5-10 minutes, then gently wipe away with a soft cloth.
Remember nothing is a permanent cure, so you will want to continue the process 2-5 times a week to maintain the reduction of under eye puffiness.
